How To Make salt river bars
-
1Melt butter, brown sugar and milk in pan on stovetop until sugar is dissolved and fairly hot. You do not want the mixture to be grainy.
-
2While mixture is heating, line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper. Make a single layer of club crackers. Crackers should touch to make a nice tight crust.
-
3Stir 4 cups of crushed graham crackers into butter mixture on stove and remove from heat.
-
4Pour 1/3 of heated mixture over club cracker crust. Spread with a spatula to distribute evenly. Repeat layers until you have 3 layers of club crackers finishing with heated mixture on top. Refrigerate
-
5Melt peanut butter with milk chocolate and butterscotch chips until melted and combined. Spread on top of cooling bars. Spread to distribute evenly.
-
6Top with a light sprinkling of sea salt. Chill until set. About 2 hours. Cut into bars trying to use the serrated lines in the crackers as a guide.
