I created this after growing weary of fig preserves every year. Very tasty but also healthy!

Ingredients

1 c
brown sugar
1 c
butter (do not substitute)
1
egg
2 c
wheat flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
sea salt
1/2 tsp
ground cloves
1 1/2 c
chopped fresh figs
1/2 c
chopped pecans (walnuts would also be good)

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream: brown sugar & butter, in medium bowl add egg

Sift together: wheat flour, soda, baking powder, sea salt and cloves.
Add to cream mixture

Fold in figs & pecans
The mixture is dry, do not worry about this. Cool in fridge for apprx 20 mins. This is when I clean up & get my cooling racks ready.

Form into small balls (not quite an inch, they will rise). On greased cookie sheet place 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 20 mins.
Cook completely and dust with Confectioners sugar.
