1 cwhole wheat flour

1/2 tspbaking soda

3/4 cshortening

1 1/2 cpacked light brown sugar

1/4 cwater

1 tspvanilla

2 cquick cooking oats

1 craisins or chopped dried apricots

1 csemi sweet chocolate mini chips
How To Make chocolate chip whole wheat cookies

1Combine whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt in small mixing bowl; set aside. Cream shortening and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg, water, and vanilla; beat well. Stir reserved flour mixture into creamed mixture. Stir in oats, raisins or dried apricots, and mini chips.

2Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets; flatten slightly. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely on wire rack.
