These easy cake mix bars are filled with caramel and plenty of chocolate chips to satisfy any sweet tooth. The iced coffee in the dough makes these Caramel Macchiato Gooey Cake Bars a great pick me up when you need it.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes white cake mix
  • 2/3 can butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup caramel iced coffee, divided (international delight caramel macchiato)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups caramel baking bits
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
  • 4 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 1/2 cup chocolate sprinkles (jimmies)

How To Make caramel macchiato gooey cake bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cake mix, butter, and 1/3 cup iced coffee.
  • Step 2
    Divide the dough in half. Press the dough into the bottom of @ greased 9 x 13-inch pans.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle the top of the dough with the white chips, chocolate chips, caramel bits, and marshmallows.
  • Step 4
    In a small bowl combine the instant coffee and 1 Tablespoon iced coffee. Stir until dissolved.
  • Step 5
    Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the coffee and stir completely.
  • Step 6
    Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the top of everything in the pan.
  • Step 7
    Make sure the tops of all the marshmallows are covered.
  • Step 8
    Top with the chocolate sprinkles.
  • Step 9
    Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting.
  • Step 10
    Store covered in a container on the counter.
  • Step 11
    NOTES: If you do not like the coffee flavor, you can substitute milk for the iced coffee in the dough, and you can leave out the instant coffee and iced coffee from the sweetened condensed milk.
