2 call purpose flour

1 to 1.5 cold fashion oats

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1 c(2 sticks) land o lakes unsalted butter, softened

2/3 cgranulated sugar

2/3 cpacked brown sugar

1/2 tspvanilla (optional)

1 tspcinnamon

1/8 tspnutmeg

2 lgeggs
-
2 craisins
-
1 cchopped nuts (optional)
How To Make bessie's oatmeal raisin cookies

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine dry ingredients to include flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt in a bowl, mixing well. Add raisins and chopped pecans and mix again.

2In a second mixing bowl cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at time, mixing well after each addition.

3Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until well blended. Use a cookie scoop for more uniform cookies, drop onto ungreased baking sheets.

4Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
