Cheery Cherry Fudge Brownies

fudge brownie mix (1 lb 2.3 oz size)

cream cheese, softened
canister, vanilla frosting ( such as duncan heinz )
1 - 21
can, cherry pie filling
1Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2In a medium bowl; mix brownie mix, oil, eggs and water. I just whisk till smooth.
Pour into prepared pan, and bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean; 2 inches from the side of pan.
Let cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes.
3Now, make filling:
Place cream cheese, almond extract and frosting in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
4Once brownies have cooled; spread filling evenly. Chill for a couple hours.
5Spread cherry pie filling evenly on top of the cream cheese layer. ( Sometimes I use 2 cans of filling, if I want more cherries, as theirs not a lot in one of those cans.)
Cut into squares and serve.
