This is pretty much a Pound Cake recipe. I have no idea why my Meema called it Plain.

Ingredients

1/2 lb
butter, at room temperature
2 3/4 c
sugar
6 large
eggs at room temperature
3 c
flour
1/2 Tbsp
salt
1/4 tsp
baking soda
1 (8 oz) pkg
sour cream
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1/3 tsp
lemon extract
1 tsp
orange flavoring

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Butter and flour a tube pan.

2Mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add 1 egg at a time, beating well between each egg.

4Sift flour with salt and baking soda.

5Add sifted flour mixture alternately with sour cream, starting with flour and ending with flour. Beat well.

6Stir in the lemon extract and orange flavoring.

7Bake in prepared tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
