One of my favorite banana cakes...this cake is to die for...so very moist...the frosting is killer too!!

Ingredients

3/4 c
butter, softened
2 c
sugar
3
eggs
1 1/2 c
ripe bananas mashed - about 4 medium
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla
3 c
flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
3/4 tsp
salt
1 c
buttermilk

FROSTING

5 - 6 Tbsp
peanut butter or more if stronger flavor is desired
3 Tbsp
butter, softened
5 c
confectioners' sugar
1/4 - 1/2 c
milk or till desired consistancy

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time.

2Beat in bananas and vanilla.

3In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

Pour batter into prepared pan.

4Bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

5For frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter and butter until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar and enough milk for desired consistency.

6Spread onto the cake.
