This is a cake recipe I go to again and again. Is light and just sweet enough.

Ingredients

1 box
angel food cake mix
24 large
marshmallows
3/4 c
milk
2 Tbsp
creme de menthe
2 Tbsp
creme de cacao
1/8 tsp
salt
1 pt
whipping cream
dash(es)
green food coloring
toasted almond pieces (optional)

Step-By-Step

1Prepare angelfood cake mix as directed, cool.

2Cook together marshmallows until melted, be careful not to scorch in the pan. Cool.

3Add Creme de Menthe, Cream de Cocoa and salt. Color to a deep green with the food coloring. Chill until mixture is cold and jelly-like.

4Whip the pint of whipping cream. Add to this the green jelly-like mixture, mix well.

5Split the cake into three layers. Frost with the whipped frosting and top all with toasted almond pieces.
