Fantastic Orange Cupcakes W/ Buttercream Frosting

I doctored up an old recipe of mine, for the cupcakes and used a butter cream recipe for the frosting.

Ingredients

1 - 16.5 oz
package duncan heinz orange deluxe cake mix
1 - 8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1/2 c
water
1/2 c
vegetable oil
4
eggs
1 Tbsp
vanilla or for more orange flavoring, use 1/2 orange extract

FROSTING

1 c
softened, butter
3 c
confectioners' sugar
2 tsp
vanilla
1 OR 2
drops red & yellow food coloring- if you desire orange frosting like i made
orange
extract to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Prepare muffin pan with paper liners or I used silicone cupcake liners. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, add all cake ingredients and beat well. Scrape sides of bowl, make sure all is well incorporated.

Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full.

Place in oven and bake 20 - 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean.

Frosting:

Beat butter until nice and fluffy - slowly beat in the confectioners' sugar a little at a time. Beat in vanilla or orange extract & food coloring if using.


Frost cooled cupcakes.

Enjoy! They are a deliciously moist cupcakes and the frosting is yummy!
