Ingredients For chocolate sundae pizza

3/4 cshortening

1 cpacked light brown sugar

1egg

2 1/4 call purpose flour

1/4 tspbaking soda

1/4 Tbspcinnamon

1/2 c5.5 ounce can chocolate flavored syrup

1 qtice cream (any flavor)

chocolate caramel sauce (below)

How To Make chocolate sundae pizza

1Cream shortening and brown sugar in large mixer bowl; add egg and blend well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; add alternately with syrup to creamed mixture, blending well. Pat dough evenly onto greased 12 inch pizza pan, forming a thicker 1 inch wide edge against rim of pan. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly. Cool completely.

2Cut crust into 10-12 wedges, but do not remove from pan. Place small scoops of ice cream around edge. Wrap tightly; freeze until firm.

3When ready to serve, prepare Chocolate Caramel Sauce: Combine 1/2 cup (5.5 ounce can) chocolate flavored syrup, 3 tablespoons milk, and 20 unwrapped light caramels in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water; stir until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth. Blend in 2 tablespoons butter. Keep sauce warm until serving time. Arrange assorted fruits on "pizza." Pour warm sauce over ice cream. Serve immediately.
