Blood Orange Flute Cake

I've made this cake before with lemons. It's moist and delicious. Add a little orange liquor, and orange peel, to whipped cream and add a big helping to a slice of warm cake . Ice cream is awesome too!

Ingredients

1 box
orange cake mix
1 pkg
orane jello
4
eggs
1/3 c
fresh squeezed orange juice
1 tsp
orange rind
1/3 c
water
2/3 c
blood orange olive oil

GLAZE

1 c
confectioners' sugar
3 Tbsp
orange juice, fresh
1 tsp
lemon peel, grated
1 Tbsp
orange liqueur

Step-By-Step

1Combine the cake mix, lemon gelatin, eggs, oil, and water. Beat at slow speed for one minute. beat on medium for two minutes.
2Pour into a well oiled 10" flute pan. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes. Check at 35 minutes with a toothpick.
3Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and poke small holes all over cake.
4While cake is baking, combine glaze ingredients. Drizzle over warm cake. Cool before cutting.
