Virginia's StoryIn a Hurry and need some cookies RIGHT-NOW?
any brand/flavor/type cake mix
1Take any boxed cake mix of your choice... Look on the back of each box and take note of the ingredients listed at the top for the back panel. notice that the cake mix asks for 3 eggs... decrease this down to only 2 eggs.
2Next; the box asks you to use 1 1/3 cups of water...
"THIS IS THE ONLY INGREDIENT THAT YOU WILL ELIMINATE FROM THESE INSTRUCTIONS!"
3Now you will use the correct amount of oil asked for on the back of the box.
4AND THAT'S IT FOLKS.
You just empty the contents of your box into a large bowl of your choice.
Add 2 large eggs.
Add 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Stir it all together with a wooden spoon until it forms a ball.
5All you do from here is to take spoonfuls of the dough and place them in the palm of your hand and roll them into small balls and place those balls onto you cookies sheet(s). you can either leave them in ball form or you can take any drinking glass and dip the bottom of the glass in flour and press the ball into a circle, or you can use the thumbprint method and place chocolate chips, cherries, etc... into the divot.
6"PLEASE EXPERIMENT WITH THIS EASY, SIMPLE, FOOLPROOF RECIPE!"
Add any favorite flavored extracts to the dough; fruits; nuts, and/or sprinkles to the dough or to the frosting that you buy either pre-made or made from scratch in your own kitchen that will go on top....Or just leave them as they are!
7With a yellow cake mix...You can add Orange rind to you dough and orange extract to a can of pre-made frosting...OR... Visa-Verse. then take orange candies and place small cut wedges on the finished cookies for a great spring-time festivity...
or take a white cake mix and add peppermint extract to the dough and crushed peppermint candies to a can of premixed vanilla frosting for a great Christmas ado. or switch out with spearmint extract and gumdrops on the finished cookies...
And yet again with Peppermint and coconut for snow topped cookies!
8There are endless additions, adaptations, and substitute that can be made to each and every cake flavor to help you attain your very own personalized cookie favorite.
This is truly a cookies combo that is too good to be true...AAHHH, but it is such a very reliable and a very FOOLPROOF way to satisfy any cookie monster appetite inside you home or outside in your community!
