Wilton Cookies

This recipe is from the Wilton company,I like it because you don't have to chill the dough before rolling and cutting.I like to add extra vanilla.
Instead of flour, I like to use powdered sugar to roll out the dough. Dust cookies with regular sugar before baking,or decorate after baking.

pinch tips: How to Melt and Soften Butter

1 c butter
1 c sugar
1 large egg
2 t. baking powder
1 t.vanilla
3 c flour

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 400. Cream butter and sugar with a mixer, beat in egg and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, 1 c at a time mixing after each addition. Dough will be stiff. Blend last cup by hand. Do not chill. Divide in half. On lightly floured board, roll each half 1/8 inch thick. Dip cookie cutters in flour before each use. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 6-7 minutes.
