Stormy's Notes:

an easy gift in a jar made with bisquick baking mix.

Did you know bisquick is now making a glutin free bisquick so all you on glutin free diets can use this recipe

Directions

1
Directions:
In a 1-quart wide-mouth jar, gently layer and pack ingredients in the order listed.

If there is any space left after adding the last ingredients, add more nuts or baking chips if desired.

Place lid on top. (For a decorative lid, cut an 8-inch circle of fabric, place over lid, secure with a rubber band, then tie with ribbon or raffia.)
2
Attach the following gift card to the jar:

Empty contents of jar into medium bowl. Stir in 1 stick butter or margarine, melted, 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract. Mix until well combined. Shape into 1-inch balls. I've made these a couple of times. The first time I made them according to directions, the next time I used butterscotch chips and pecans. The base cookie dough is simple and has a good flavor. Thanks, Stormy. Is one I will be using often.

What a great gift idea. I have a recipe for these in my cookbook, but just a tad bit different from this recipe. I am sure they are both just as good. Thanks for posting such a great gift idea. Have you found a place to buy Macadamia nuts AT A REASONABLE PRICE. They are quite expensive, I purchased mine at Walmart, and a 6 1/4 oz jar was $7.48, but the cookies are AWESOME.

I have a question...Bisquick is listed twice in your recipe...Is that correct? Thank-you!

Yes It also says to load the jar in order given that is why it is on twice

o k thanks...just checking ... Rose Mary, In our Wal-Mart on the isle with the chocolate chips they have different nuts used for baking...there are some Macadamia nuts there especially for baking priced for $5.00. (I think it's a 6 or 8 oz. bag) That's a little less expensive... at least here it is... nothing is cheap anymore...

Thanks Penny, for the information. Here in the Wal Mart where I shop, they come in a Jar, and are by Planters and they cost $7.48 for a 6 and 1/4 oz. jar. That was the only brand they had and the only size. I even looked in the dollar stores trying to find them cheeper to no avail. Perhaps they may get more in, I don't know, but I will also check with Target & other stores to see if I can find them cheeper. Your price is more reasonable, although that is still expensive, but much better than the price I had to pay. I will also check at Aldi's they may carry them. Any place I can find them cheeper will be a help, with the holiday baking season fast approaching. Thanks so much for your help & suggestion Penny. MACADAMIA NUTTY WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
