Stephanie's notes for this recipe:
An easy cookie made at Christmas time. The frosting in the center of these delightful cookies really complements these little gems!

This sounds a little like what I have been looking for. My grandma had a recipe similar to this, or so it may seem. I'm going to give this one a try. Have you used pecans? I wanted to bake some cookies this weekend and I think I may make these.

Stephanie, should the well be a little deeper than what the teaspoon of filling will hold, or should the filling come up "flush" with the top of the cookie dough? (if that makes sense!)

Come up flush with the dough. If it spills over a little, that's fine too.
