The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

These cookies are incredible and a little more healthy than the usual as whole wheat flour is included, along with oatmeal, walnuts, and dark chocolate.

2 stick
butter, softened
1 c
granulated sugar
1 c
light brown sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract (i use mexican vanilla)
1 c
all purpose flour
1 c
whole wheat flour
2 1/2 c
oatmeal, uncooked, measured then ground to flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
1 c
dark chocolate chips
1/2 c
milk chocolate chips
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c
walnuts, chopped

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Cream together butter and sugars on medium speed of heavy duty mixer. Add eggs and vanilla, mix till well blended.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Add to batter and mix well. Grind oatmeat to flour (I use my blender to pulverize the oats.). Add oatmeal to batter. Stir in chips and nuts.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop golf ball sized mounds onto cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.

Bake cookies for 6 to 8 minutes or until light brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
