Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift dry ingredients except oats, raisins and walnuts. In mixer add shortening, egg, and soup. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping sides and bottom of bowl constantly. Stir in oats, raisins, and walnuts.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake about 15 minutes until lightly browned.
