Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies
|1 c||butter (original recipe calls for shortening or crisco)|

|1 c||ground up raisins (chop the raisins in a food processor) or leave whole|
|mix well then add|
|2 c||quick cooking oats|
|1 tsp||each salt, baking soda and vanilla|
This recipe was given to my mother in the early 1960s by an elderly next door lady. These raisin cookies are the best I have ever had...I am not a milk drinker these days but when I think of having one of these, milk sounds really good!
My husband and I made a huge batch of these for some airman on Spangdahlem Air Force Base..the Big 22. They loved us after those cookies! Hope you enjoy these too!
