- 1 cup ultragrain all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 - eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup dried fruits
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts

Step 1Preheat oven to 350F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flours, oat bran, flaxseed, baking soda and cinnamon; whisk until well combined and set aside. In a separate mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and eggs; stir until incorporated. Stir in dried fruits.

Step 2Add flour mixture to egg mixture and stir until moist and completely combined. Stir in walnuts. Drop mounds of dough onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.

Step 3Bake, one sheet at a time, for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to wire rack and cool completely.
