This recipe has special meaning as I acquired this when I was working. The coworker and dear friend shared this recipe with me when we had a holiday carry-in. This truly is a holiday favorite of my family and is so easy to make. Please stand guard over the cookies as you may see them disappear before your eyes (only if you want enough to serve to family and friends)

Ingredients

8 oz
cream cheese
2 stick
butter
3 c
flour
2 c
crushed nuts
1 c
sugar
1/3 c
milk
powdered sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Cookie Dough: Mix cream cheese, butter and flour. Mix well, take a spoon full of dough and roll into a ball, after rolling dough into balls put in refrigerator to chill.
2
As dough is chilling make your filing.
3
Take your crushed nuts, sugar and milk and mix together well.
4
Roll your dough balls in powdered sugar and roll out. Drop some filling on the flattened dough and roll up. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when half cool

This recipe is incomplete! How big do you make the balls (spoonfull - tsp?, tbsp?)? How far do you roll out the dough? How much filling do you put in each? It says drop filling on rolled out dough, then roll up. I had to read the comments to know that you are supposed to spread the filling out before you roll! That is after I made them of course.....

Bobbi, I am in the process of posting a picture. It really would help. Each ball of dough represents one cookie. You roll out the individual ball and spread the filling out, than you roll it up. It looks like a little nut horn. I used red raspberry jam this time for christmas. Very easy to make and sooo good Gosh, I hopes this helps
