Ingredients

1 c butter, room temperature
1/2 c sugar
1 large egg
1/2 tsp maple extract/flavoring
2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c pecans, finely minced (process is fine)
powdered sugar for dusting

These have been a family favorite for many years, they will melt in your mouth. change the flavor by using a different extract, I love them with almond extract also. enjoy. xoxo

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 375*
Cream butter with sugar until fluffy.
Beat in Maple flavoring.

Stir in the flour and salt until dough is smooth..Then stir in pecans.
Chill for 30 minutes

Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, then roll out to make an oval shape which can be turned into a cresent shape.

Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake in a 375* oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are firm but not browned.
Remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar while still warm. great with a nice cup of tea. xoxoxo
