Ingredients For lemon drop cookies

  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    1/2 & 1/2
  • 1 tsp
    lemon peel
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    lemon drop candies, crushed
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How To Make lemon drop cookies

    In a large bowl, cream butter & sugar until light & fluffy. Beat in the egg, cream & peel. Combine the flour, lemon drops, baking powder & salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture & mix well.

    Drop by rounded tsp 3" apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
