Happy 100th Birthday Oreo! (1912-2012)

This is a very easy dessert. The hardest part is waiting for each layer to chill in the refrigerator.

cream cheese
2 pkg
cool whip (8 oz. size)
1 c
powdered sugar
2 pkg
instant chocolate pudding (4 serving size)
1 3/4 c
whole milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Crush Oreo cookies in a food processor. Set aside 1/2 cup cookie crumbs for top of dessert.
Melt butter and mix with crushed oreos. Spread in the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass dish or metal pan and press firmly in place. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar, then fold in 1 container of Cool Whip. Spread over cookie crust.
Mix together milk and 2 packages of pudding. After setting for a few minutes, spread over cream cheese layer and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Spread 2nd container of Cool Whip over pudding layer and then sprinkle cookie crumbs, that were previously set aside, over top. Refrigerate until firm.

    oh my haven't had that dessert in years. used to make it covered with whipped cream in a circle.. remember that gals? but with the pudding would be yummier

    Love this recipe! I changed my version up a little: used real sweetened whipped cream, vanilla instead of chocolate pudding, reserved 1/3 cup crushed Oreos for the topping and another 1/2 cup to mix into the pudding layer :) still enough crust! And added some mini chocolate chips on top. Because everything is better with dark chocolate. :D
