My mom has made these my entire life and they always bring back memories of childhood. My kids and their friends used to beg me to make them.
I submitted them to the local newspaper in a Christmas cookie contest a couple of years ago and won 1st place!

You'll really enjoy the sweet and savory that's in every bite. These are a perfect on-the-go breakfast!


1 c
flour, sifted
1/4 tsp
baking soda
3/4 c
white or brown sugar
1/2 c
bacon crumbles, not artificial bacon bits
1/2 c
egg (can use egg substitute)
2 c
corn flakes

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix flour, soda and sugar.
Stir in bacon crumbles.
Mix in margarine and egg.
Stir in cereal. Blend well but do not beat.
Drop by tspful on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Cool slightly before removing.

school starts tomorrow. I am going to make a batch tonight after work! i personally eat low carb and I am going to tweak this a bit for myself and try with either soy flour or almond flour and see how they turn out!!!

my step daughter is going to love these, she gets her love of bacon from her daddy!!! lol

I love these cookies! I make mine with butter (we avoid margarine like the plague) and add craisins and they are awesome! They're sweet and a bit savory at the same time with a delightful crunch from the cornflakes- they're different than anything I'd had before. If you make these you'll not be disappointed! Now I need to go make some! And BTW: I do give these to my kids occasionally as a breakfast treat. They are actually better than a lot of the so-called breakfast foods that can be bought at the store.

I don't and won't use margarine in anything so
i'm tweaking this using real butter! these sound very good so
i'm gonna make some for my boyfriend!
