I make these Jewish cookies every year and give a bag out to many people....usually the ones who have tried them always ask WHEN ARE YOU GUNNA MAKE THOSE TRIANGLE COOKIES AGAIN! These are addicting.

Ingredients

6 c
flour
1 c
white sugar
1 c
orange juice
2 c
vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 jar(s)
apricot preserves
1 jar(s)
rasberry preserves

Directions Step-By-Step

MIX ALL INGREDIENTS. (except preserves) in large bowl and knead for about 5 minutes. REMOVE 1/2 DOUGH N FLATTN OUT TO 1/4" or so

take a glass and make enough circles to fill up flattened dough...pick up excess and put in bowl with other half of dough.

PREHEAT OVEN 350. FLATTN one circle at a time and put 1 tsp. of preserves in center n fold up three sides to form a triangle and pinch corners.

PLACE HAMENTACHEN ON COOKIE SHEETS....NO PREPPING OF PAN IS NEEDD. BAKE FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.

CONTINUE FORMING HAMENTACHEN WITH REMAINN DOUGH (MIGHT need to be kneaded for another minute before continuing )

ONCE THEY HAVE BROWND A BIT REMOVE FROM OVEN N LET COOL....(TASTES EVEN BETTER NEXT DAY) ...ENJOY :)
