Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and honey.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Using a medium size (2 teaspoons) cookie scoop, drop dough about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire racks to cool.
Store in a tightly covered cookie jar or canister to keep moist.
