Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients in a sauce pan, bring to a boil and boil for 3 min.Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.Allow to cool a bit then add powdered sugar to make a soft, pourable frosting.Pour frosting over the cooled waffle iron cookies, filling the holes and making a smooth, shiny turtle shell. I did not repost the Waffle Iron Cookie recipe, only the way I finish with frosting to make our Turtles - the same recipe I use is one posted here on Just a Pinch by Marsha Baker, Pioneer, OH "Waffle Iron Cookies". Follow her recipe for the cookies and add the frosting to get the Turtles.
