Pat into bottom of 13 by 9 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire rack.
In small bowl beat eggs until light at medium speed. Gradually add sugar. Add vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt until combined. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread evenly over cooled crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and firm to touch. With sharp knife cut into bars while still warm.
