1Mic the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together until creamy. Then add the sifted ingredients : flour, baking powder, amd the salt. Spread in a 13x9 inch pan. Make the Meringue 1 egg white gradually adding 1 c brown sugar, Beat until glossy, add 1/2 cup nuts and spread over cake.Bake at 375 for 25 minutes
