Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Rich, buttery and chewy, these cookies are similar to a sugar cookie but without all the fuss. They remind me of a Christmas cookie but will be good any time of year. The cherries add a special touch, but the cookie is delicious without them too. This dough is very thick, so don't give up mixing it. I ended up finishing it by hand and it came out perfect. These are very yummy!

butter, softened
1 1/2 c
sugar
4

1 tsp

1 1/2 tsp
