Ingredients For christmas sugar cookies

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground mace
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • white candy coating
  • green paste food coloring

How To Make christmas sugar cookies

    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Beat in the sour cream, honey and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and chill for 2 hours or until easy to handle.

    On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 3-in. cookie cutters. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.

    Bake at 325° for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white coating; stir until smooth. Stir in food coloring; drizzle over cookies.
