These flavors cannot be beat. What's better than chocolate covered cherries.

Ingredients

1 c
powdered sugar
1 c
butter, softened
2 tsp
maraschino cherry liquid
1/2 tsp
almond extract
4
red food coloring drops
2 1/4 c
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
48
milk chocolate kisses

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 350.

Combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry liquid, extract and food coloring in a bowl. Mix well. Add flour and salt. Mix well.
2
Stir in the cherries. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until you can see that the lower edge is a light golden brown.

Remove from oven and press a candy kiss into the top of each cookie.

Michelle,

The juice is from the jar of cherries.

I am confused....is the cherry juice from the jar of cherries? Or is it cherry syrup that you buy? There is a difference between syrup and juice and unclear what cherry juice everyone is using.
