This is another good one from my Grandma Whitehead. We really enjoyed this one at the cookie swap, and I have made them several times since. The don't last too long around my house.
red cherries, candied, chopped
1Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
2Cream butter and add sugar gradually.
3Add flour, cherries, pecans, water and vanilla, and mix thoroughly.
4Shape into balls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
5Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
6Roll in powdered sugar.
