Ingredients For caramel-cashew cake bars

  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    salted cashews, chopped
  • FOR THE CASHEW TOPPING
  • 1/2 c
    salted cashews, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 4 1/2 tsp
    heavy whipping cream

How To Make caramel-cashew cake bars

    In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking powder and salt. Beat in the eggs just until combined. Fold in the cashews. Spread into a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.

    In a small bowl, combine the topping ingredients. Spread over cake. Broil for 1-2 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned. Cut into bars while warm. Cool on a wire rack.
