I used to watch Captain Kangaroo when I was a little girl many years ago. He made this cookie on his show and I have never forgotten it. My children and grand children make the all the time.

Ingredients For captain kangaroo's no bake cookie

  • 1 c
    peanut butter
  • 1 pkg
    milk chocolate chips
  • 3 c
    crushed corn flakes

How To Make captain kangaroo's no bake cookie

    Take a gallon plastic bag and put the corn flakes in the bag and seal taking out the air. Roll a rolling pin over them until finely crushed.

    Melt peanut butter and chocolate chips together in a double boiler or melt at 80% in the microwave watching closely and stirring until melted.

    When peanut butter and chocolate chips are melted, stir in the corn flakes. Drop by teaspoonful on wax paper. Let set up and watch them disappear. This recipe was taken from his show about 58 years ago.
