Such a cute treat for Fall - and a great activity for kids to help out with!

pinch tips: How to Cut Cherry Tomatoes

hershey's kisses (i like the "chocolate meltaway" ones)
milk chocolate chips
semi-sweet chocolate chips
any mini sandwich cookies (mini nutter butter, ritz peanut butter mini sandwiches, etc)

Directions Step-By-Step

Unwrap your Hershey's kisses.
Melt your milk chocolate chips in the microwave. 20 seconds, stir, then 10 second increments until it's smooth, stirring in between. Amount depends on how many you're making. I think I used about 1/4 C.
Dip the flat end of your Kiss into the melted chocolate -you will probably have to remove some excess on the side of the bowl.
Press your dipped Kiss onto a sandwich cookie.
Dip the flat end of a semi sweet chocolate chip into the melted chocolate. Press it onto the other side of the sandwich cookie.
Place on wax paper to harden.
*You might have some sandwich cookies that are broken apart. That's okay, the "acorns" look just as cute with 1 cookie.

Haha! I found a picture of these online when I was looking for ideas for a 'Fall' themed birthday party. They didn't have instructions, so I just kind of figured them out.

My 6 year old son made these for Thanksgiving using Nutter Butters. Instead of melting chocolate, we used chocolate frosting. (I thought it would be easier for him to work with instead of the melted chocolate.) These were a hit after dinner, not one remained! Thanks for sharing a recipe that will become an annual tradition in our family!
