Butter Rum Macaroon Nests

I created these nests when I wanted to create a cookie version of a favorite childhood Easter candy.

Ingredients

16 oz
sweetened flaked coconut
14 oz
sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp
butter flavoring
1/2 tsp
rum flavoring
1/4 tsp
green food coloring
144
jelly beans

Step-By-Step

1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large cookie sheet.
2In a medium bowl stir together the coconut, milk, flavorings, & food coloring until combined. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Gently press the back of a teaspoon into each cookie to make a slight impression. Place cookies on a wire rack. Gently press 3 jelly beans into each impression. Cool before serving.
3*Note*
Vanilla and almond extract may be used in place of the butter & rum flavorings.
