Believe it or not, one day my child asked if all brownies were chocolate. No, I told him, some are made with other things. Then I found this recipe for Blonde Brownies. We tried it and loved it. I make it almost as much as the chocolate kind. It goes well at church suppers and potlucks.
2 1/2 c
light brown sugar
eggs, lightly beaten
all purpose flour
12-ounce package chocolate chips (optional)
1Spray 13"x9" pan with non-fat cooking spray.
2Mix sugar and oil. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together and add to mixture and mix well.
3Pour into pan. Spread and smooth batter. If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top or use other flavored chips.
4Bake at 350. Do not overbake. Check at 20 min. Toothpick should come out clean. Try to wait until completely cool before eating. We never can wait that long if brownies are for having at home!
