Biscotti Cookies

A dear friend of mine passed this to me and I have been making them for years now. They are a great Holiday cookie. Or anytime you want to "dunk" one in coffee.

pinch tips: How to Melt and Soften Butter

4 1/2 c
all purpose flour
4 tsp
baking powder
3/4 lb
melted butter
1 c
extra large eggs
4 tsp
anise extract

Directions Step-By-Step

Can be made in KitchenAid Mixer

Mix first 3 ingredients until well blended. Add the next 3 ingredients together and beat very well. Now add the egg mixture to the flour and mix till smooth.

Great for cookie cutter, NOT for biscotti machine!
Before baking, brush with beaten egg mixed with anise flavor.
Frost " when cool"

Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
Grease cookie sheets
