Ingredients For bird's nests cookies

1 cbutter or margarine at room temperature

1/2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

2egg yolks, reserve whites
- CREAM THESE WELL

2 call purpose flour
- MIX FLOUR IN WELL. ROLL INTO 1 INCH BALLS.

1 cwell crushed walnuts~pecans or almonds

1 cmaraschino cherries
- CUT CHERRIES INTO HALVES.
How To Make bird's nests cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Roll balls into egg white. Then into the crushed nuts.Place onto parchment paper cookie sheets. Place half cherry into center of thumb print cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Press center down and bake 10-15 minutes longer.

2cool on cookie rack.
