Ingredients

9 oz bittersweet chocolate, or semisweet choc.
1 c heavy cream
1 Tbsp dark rum

A versatile chocolate topping that I use a lot around the holidays. You'll love the flavor, consistency, and beauty of this rich chocolate ganache.

 

Directions

Chop chocolate and set aside.

In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, bring heavy cream to a boil. Be careful not to scorch it! Once boiling, pour over the chocolate stirring until smooth.

Add the rum and stir to combine. Allow to cool slightly before using on cakes, or other goodies.

Is rum extract okay to use instead of rum?

Yes, you can add an extract. I prefer the flavor of real rum, less after taste, and more spices.
