Ingredients For double chocolate brownies

  • 2/3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1/2 c
    white chocolate chips
  • fudge sauce:
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 2/3 c
    dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make double chocolate brownies

    Brownies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8" square cake pan, line bottom with parchment paper. Place chocolate and butter in heatproof bowl set over pot of gently simmering water until melted. Stir until smooth, cool slightly. Stir in sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir in eggs, one at a time, until blended.

    Sift flour and cocoa into batter, beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Cool slightly on rack.

    Sauce: Mix cream, sugar, milk,corn syrup and butter in pot, heat gently over medium-low heat, stirring often, until sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 10-15 minutes until mixture is caramel colored. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate until smooth. Serve brownies with sauce.
