JANE's notes for this recipe:
This is just a quick snack that can be put in celophane baggies for little gifts. Use different colors of chocolate for the holidays. I used blue for July 4th. It's delicious.

In double broiler, melt chocolate while popping the 3 bags of microwave popcorn. Put all popped corn in a large bowl. Pour the melted chocolate over it and stir with spatula or hands. Salt to give it a sweet and salty taste. Let cool...but don't put in fridge. It will make the popcorn stick to the bowl. Just put in a cool place. Then put in pretty bags with ribbon ties or in a plastic container.

This is good if you add some little broken stick pretzels to it, as well, and occasionally some salted peanuts!

Sounds like a great idea! I've used m&m's too. Make it your own!

I love chocolate popcorn! I will def be making this. what is the best microwave popcorn to buy for this? Could you also just use your air popper too?

I use the butter flavored popcorn...any brand. After I put the chocolate on it I do salt it a little cause I like sweet and salty. I don't know if airpopped would taste as good but I don't see any reason why the chocolate wouldn't work on it as well. Let me know if it works.
