Amazing Chocolate Sauce

- 3 Tbsp
- 4 Tbsp
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- cup sugar
- 12 oz. can evaporated milk ("pet" milk)
- 1 tsp
- vanilla extract
- dash or two of salt
1In heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and cocoa. Stir.
2Remove from heat and add sugar, milk (make sure it's EVAPORATED milk...NOT sweetened condensed milk), vanilla and salt. Stir well.
3Return to heat and cook until desired thickness (less for thin syrup...longer for thick syrup). Time will depend on your stove and your preference. Make sure you stir it pretty much constantly...don't want it to burn on the bottom.
4Store in airtight container in fridge for up to a couple of weeks.
