Ingredients

12 oz	chocolate chips
1/2 c	butter or margarine
1 c	creamy peanut butter
1 bx	crispix or chex (any flavor) cereal 12-14 oz
3-4 c	confectioners' sugar

Joyce's Notes:

A sweet treat that I always made for my kids and now my granddaughter loves it too! I usually make it with Crispix cereal, but any flavor of Chex can be used instead. Called Puppy Chow because it resembles the slightly powdery look of real puppy chow dog food.

Directions

Melt chocolate, peanut butter, & margarine in a pan. Stir until smooth.

Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in large bowl. Stir until cereal is well coated.

Put some sugar into a gallon ziploc bag, spoon some cereal mixture into the bag and then shake until cereal is well coated in powdered sugar. Put on wax paper covered cookie sheets until completely cooled (this won't take long). Repeat steps with the bag until all cereal mixture has been coated with powdered sugar.
