I have made this recipe many many times. I always make sure I have this on hand. It makes a perfect add in to any dish & any dessert. It also makes a spicy snack.

ginger, peeled & sliced

1Frist peeel & slice the ginger. And place aside.
2Next in a medium pot mix & melt together the water & sugar over medium heat. Than mix in the slice ginger & mix well to coat. Simmer for about a few mins.
3Than place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet to dry. It may take an hour to fully dry. You may leave it like this or you may sprinkle it with extra sugr.
4Note: Once dried you can thinly slice & add in to other dishes to give it a extra special hint of spice. Bring out the favors in any desserts.
