Easy Oreo Cookie Fudge

Dee Dee's Story

My town is famous for it's fudge shops. This was inspired by one of my favorite candy stores here. It comes out nice and creamy and dreamy!

Ingredients

1 can(s)
sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c
heavy whipping cream
1 Tbsp
butter
6 oz
white chocolate
10
coarsly chopped oreo cookies (approx)

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream and butter over medium heat, stirring constantly to a boil.

Take off heat when temperature reaches 233 degrees.

Add in white chocolate and stir in until melted.

Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.

Place into a 9x9 inch cake pan.

Refigerate until stiff. Approximately 2 hours.

Cut into 1x1 inch pieces.

Cheryl, that does work also but it is alot harder to form the parchment & get it to stay in one place while pouring the fudge. It keeps wanting to pop up.

Lining the pan w/parchment also makes it easier.... @Claire: Candy thermometers are sold in grocery stores, sometimes as handy as the baking aisle! Sometimes in the housewares...

Use a candy thermometer, Claire. They are a round glass one.

How do I know when the temperature has reached 233 degrees? :o/

Might I suggest: Line your cake pan first with a piece of buttered foil first for easy removal of fudge. When set, just pop the foil up with the fudge still in tact & place on cutting board to neatly cut into squares.
