Be the First
Sharon's StoryI used to buy this type of fudge at Russell Stover's Candy Store, downtown. Later on, I would buy it at a suburban mall location. Those stores aren't around any more, as far as I can tell. I bought it, when my grandmother wasn't around. Because, she made the same kind of fudge. So, if I was at her house, she would make some. So rich and yummy!
I haven't make this particular recipe, so I hope it is as good! It has the same name & seems similar. Let me know how it works out for you.
butter for greasing pan
chopped walnuts (optional or reduce amount)
1Grease an 8x8 pan with butter. Bring brown sugar, evaporated milk, and butter to a boil, in a large saucepan; boil mixture for exactly 10 minutes.
2Remove from heat, and add confectioners' sugar. Beat fudge with electric mixer, on medium speed, for exactly 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla and chopped walnuts (if using).
3Spread fudge in prepared pan, and let cool, before cutting into squares.
