For use on cakes or cupcakes - fairly easy recipe. Cheaper than purchasing the ready-made, and taste much better. Can be colored to whatever color is needed. Gel coloring works great.

Ingredients

1 lb
blanched almonds
1 lb
confectioners' sugar
3
egg whites
1 tsp
almond extract

Step-By-Step

11.Grind almonds in a blender. Thoroughly mix in confectioners sugar. Beat egg whites slightly, then stir into the almond mixture. Add almond extract, using your hands to blend the heavy mixture.
2Roll out to desired thickness on a surface covered with confectioners' sugar and use as desired.
